Accommodations
Second Wind is a comfortable home. The interior of the vessel romantic
with truly magnificent joinery, beautiful louvered cabinet doors, carved
features, comfortable settees, large dining table, high ceilings, very
nice lighting and ventilation. Everywhere you look, you appreciated the
detail and workmanship. She is truly a magnificent ship with an appealing
ambiance of calm and security. Old world charm with all the amenities
including heat and air conditioning.
For the livaboard cruising couple or small
family, she offers at large two-stateroom layout with the owners stateroom
aft with a huge walk around berth, with those romantic pirate ship windows
in the transom, and beautiful joinery, a large vanity, cabinets, and large
hanging locker, and of course and ensuite head with a beautifully tiled
counter top, stainless steel sink, and separate shower stall. The lighting
is perfect with reading lights and a huge overhead hatch for light and
ventilation. This is a supreme owner’s cabin. The second private cabin
forward has a slide-out double berth and an large amount of storage space
with two hanging lockers as well as multiple smaller lockers. This cabin
also has its own private head and shower. The door to the stateroom has a
custom carving of the boat which is pretty cool.
In addition to these two rather magnificent
cabins, there is also the pilot berth area which is in the walk through to
the aft cabin. While the berth could easily be a child’s private berth, it
is most often used as the boats workshop. It is directly across from the
engine room access. There is a large cabinet with immense storage for
tools . The generator is housed in the cabinet and the berth is currently
a beautiful workbench with a vice and tool storage. It is fantastic with
the engine room right there.
The galley will definitely please the cook! It is
spacious and well equipped with loads of well organized storage.
The accommodations are extended to the fully
enclosed center cockpit which becomes a wonderful “Florida Room” with
comfortable seating in all weather! The aft deck becomes a lovely patio at
anchor with a barbeque. It’s pretty good!
